Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a 12-month contract in the Wolverhampton area. You will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for rotating equipment in aerospace, and you will create accurate 3D models and technical drawings.

Candidates should have strong Siemens NX experience, GD&T and tolerance analysis, plus exposure to DFMEA and PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred). Aerospace background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND qualification.
• Strong experience designing rotating equipment.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX Essential).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred).
• Aerospace experiencer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.

• Support product development activities through full product lifecycle.

The Role - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to impressive project and programme developments, we are seeking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support our client's engineering operations.

You’ll need strong experience in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for rotating equipment in the aerospace sector. Demonstrable experience in the design of components such as gears, seals, rotors, transmissions or motors would be highly valuable.

Due to the complexity of the role candidates must be confident using Siemens NX design software.
