Job summary

Align Property Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer in Northallerton. The role focuses on leading mechanical design from concept to detail, delivering energy-efficient, compliant solutions across public and private sector projects.

You will manage projects, provide early design input, and supervise installation and commissioning, ensuring deliveries meet deadlines and budget constraints. Hybrid working and a competitive package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Hold a Degree or HNC in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering with professional registration preferred.
• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer within building services.
• Ability to produce mechanical design calculations using Hevacomp and IES.
• Prepare feasibility reports, condition surveys, design specifications and drawings for RIBA work stages.
• Supervise installation, commissioning management and maintenance procedures.
• Carry out H&S risk assessments and CDM compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and NBS software.
• Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
