Align Property Services is seeking a proactive Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. You will lead electrical design and project management on varied construction and maintenance projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee site installations, ensure NEC/JCT compliance, and work within NEPO and public-sector frameworks. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering.
• Substantial experience in a senior engineering role.
• Willingness to travel across the area and hold a UK driving licence.
• Commitment to professional development (ideally MCIBSE).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept to detail and manage projects.
• Provide early design advice and technical consultancy across disciplines.
• Oversee site installations and ensure NEC/JCT contract compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and promote collaboration across teams.
• Support health & safety, fire safety, and sustainability throughout projects.
