You will work with laboratories, estates and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations and effective asset management across testing programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining complex plant, process equipment or test systems.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance activities by risk.
• Experience leading technical work and contractor-delivered services.
• Knowledge of mechanical safety and safe isolation practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as the mechanical engineering lead for critical test and process equipment.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, balancing safety and priorities.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams to minimise downtime.
• Monitor performance and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead fault-finding investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Develop maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle plans.
• Review contractor proposals for safety and cost effectiveness.
• Oversee contractor performance and safe work procedures.
• Support change, commissioning and handover of assets.
