Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is expanding our Engineering Consultancy team in the UK and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver M&E asset engineering, due diligence surveys and life-cycle costing for commercial and residential projects.

You will lead technical audits, surveys, and maintenance planning while collaborating with colleagues across disciplines in a dynamic, market-leading environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced Asset Engineering Engineer with building services focus.
• Qualified to at least HNC/HND level.
• Ideally holds a Mechanical or Building Services Engineering degree; Chartered status desirable.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with technical and experiential development of junior engineers.
• Undertaking technical audits of maintenance contract service delivery and documentation.
• Providing advice on condition, pre-planned maintenance, repair and refurbishment options.
• Carrying out surveys tailored to property acquisition or dilapidations.
• Commenting/reporting on statutory requirements related to building engineering services.
• Feasibility studies, design and project management of refurbishment and new works.
• Formulating maintenance programmes and schedules.
• Analysing and reporting on maintenance contractors’ performance and costs.
• Chairing periodic maintenance contract review meetings.
