Job summary

Simply Jobsworth seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function in a busy manufacturing environment. You will ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of plant and site infrastructure while developing preventative maintenance strategies.

You will manage budgets, contractor relationships, and capital projects, drive asset reliability through KPIs, and mentor the engineering team to deliver continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Multi-Skilled).
• Experience leading maintenance engineering teams in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Maximise plant reliability and operational performance.
• Manage maintenance planning and work management systems.
• Monitor performance via KPIs and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory engineering requirements and inspections.
• Manage budgets, costs and forecasting.
• Oversee capital projects from planning to delivery.
• Lead contractor management and external service providers.
• Utilise CMMS/CAFM systems to track activities.
