Job summary

ADM is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in the UK to ensure safety, reliability and performance of site assets. You will own integrity programmes, manage lifecycle plans and coordinate major maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.

Key duties include leading equipment upgrades, developing engineering standards and supporting shutdowns. Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Required: Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree).
• Significant experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment and mechanical systems.
• Experience in equipment upgrades, refurbishment, asset replacement programmes.
• Experience supporting planned shutdowns, turnarounds and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure the maintenance department meets goals for health and safety, environmental compliance, product quality, asset reliability, cost and operational effectiveness.
• Comply with ADM safety regulations and standards while promoting a positive safety culture.
• Act as the site's mechanical engineering technical authority for asset safety and compliance.
• Own the structural/mechanical integrity programme and asset lifecycle plans.
• Provide engineering support for annual shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
• Lead engineering solutions, equipment upgrades and major repairs to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop and govern engineering standards, specifications and modification processes.
