Job summary
BRE in Watford is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership for the Structural Technology team, delivering high‑quality engineering, testing, and assurance services.
You will drive business development, manage client relationships, and apply BS EN standards to evaluate performance and develop robust test programs.
This role offers the chance to influence BRE's capabilities and collaborate across disciplines while ensuring safety and quality in all lab and site activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Experience leading complex structural engineering activities.
- Strong knowledge of BS and EN codes and standards.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Structural Technology team to deliver objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across testing, assessment, and consultancy.
- Drive business development and client engagement.
- Build relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Develop proposals and reports with expert structural engineering advice.
- Ensure safety and quality across lab and field activities.
