Job summary

Buro Happold is actively seeking an experienced M&E Asset Surveyor to join the Asset Consultancy team. You will lead client engagements, prepare technical reports, and deliver strategic property advice across diverse sectors while promoting sustainable building performance.

The role sits within a multidisciplinary group, offering hybrid working arrangements, and opportunities to influence projects from early concept through delivery. Mobility and strong communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) with experience presenting to clients.
• Ability to take high responsibility in a team-based organisation while also working independently.
• Experience in preparing technical reports for client delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, schedules, and specifications.
• Act as Job Leader.
• Manage and prioritise own workload and sub-consultants for timely delivery.
• Prepare financial proposals for new work.
• Set up and manage job/project administrative systems including planning resourcing/expenditure.
• Ensure all relevant staff are informed of client matters.
• Commit to CPD and self-learning/development.
• Identify new opportunities and cross-sell other disciplines externally.
