University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting a Senior Maternity Care Assistant to provide clinical and non-clinical support to the multidisciplinary team across maternity services, under supervision of a Registered Health Care Professional.

The role involves direct and indirect care for service users, participation in emergencies, and support across postnatal, antenatal wards, labour wards, theatres and assessment units.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct and indirect care for service users under supervision of a Registered Health Care Professional.
• Support multi-disciplinary team across maternity services including postnatal, antenatal wards, labour wards, theatres and assessment units.
• Respond promptly to service user needs, escalate concerns to a registered midwife.
• Assist with infant feeding support and clinical observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
• Assist during emergencies and vaginal/cesarean births in theatre as required.
• Support housekeeping and catering with ordering and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
