Job summary

SOCOTEC UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Materials Technician to support our Infrastructure division in the UK. You will work across field and laboratory environments, performing tests and ensuring compliance with UKAS accredited procedures.

You will need to be proactive, reliable and flexible, with the ability to travel to sites as required. A background in construction materials testing and driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in construction materials testing with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices.
• Experience in performing and interpreting laboratory and field-based tests.
• CSCS card and full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of laboratory and field-based tests and interpret results.
• Maintain equipment calibrations and report defects.
• Audit, train and develop site technicians.
