Job summary

SOCOTEC UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Materials Technician to support our Infrastructure division in the UK. You will work across field and laboratory environments, performing tests and ensuring compliance with UKAS accredited procedures.

You will need to be proactive, reliable and flexible, with the ability to travel to sites as required. A background in construction materials testing and driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in construction materials testing with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices.
• Experience in performing and interpreting laboratory and field-based tests.
• CSCS card and full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of laboratory and field-based tests and interpret results.
• Maintain equipment calibrations and report defects.
• Audit, train and develop site technicians.

Senior Materials Technician (Field & Laboratory)

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. Were looking for a dedicated Senior Materials Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Materials Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, youll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in construction materials testing, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position. This role requires the flexibility to work away from home as required.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Performing and interpreting a wide range of laboratory and field-based tests


• Maintaining equipment calibrations and reporting defects


• Auditing, training and development of site technicians

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory


• Valid CSCS card


• Full UK driving licence
