Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Senior Composite Material Engineer to join the Central Engineering Materials & Processes team in Belfast. You will lead composite material activities in a production setting, driving root-cause analysis, material selection, and cross-functional collaboration to support A220 production and future aircraft innovations.

The role emphasizes leadership in international projects, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to mentor teams while delivering

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science or HNC with ≥3 years in Materials & Processes engineering.
• Knowledge of assembly/surface materials and technologies for development, qualifications, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support composite material activities in a production environment.
• Help resolve production issues for composite technologies.
• Contribute to cost/quality improvements for composite parts.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineering and M&P teams.
• Support material queries, concessions and sourcing with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality.
• Build and maintain stakeholder networks with Design, Procurement and Quality.
• Contribute to future aircraft development programs and industrialisation projects.
