Job summary
United Infrastructure Transmission and Distribution in Bristol is seeking a Materials & Logistics Specialist to lead the receipt, storage and movement of materials across UK sites. You will manage warehousing operations, coordinate labour, and marshal shipments in line with project schedules and procedures.
The role requires at least 3 years in materials or logistics, experience with ERP systems, and strong planning skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years materials/logistics experience with results and progression to a management position.
- Experience with ERP systems and warehouse/inventory control.
- Strong planning, organisation and team leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Establish, manage and maintain warehousing and materials control at the designated site/facility.
- Coordinate efficient warehouse operations and monitor labour utilisation.
- Produce shipping documents and update procurement systems with receipts and manifests.
- Monitor inventory through cycle counts and stock checks; manage shortages/surplus.
- Liaise with project personnel, clients and suppliers to resolve supply issues.
- Ensure activities align with project execution plans and budgets.
