Job summary

1st Executive is seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Lead to support a major Oil & Gas redevelopment project in the Middle-East, based in West London/Surrey. You will lead inbound logistics activities, ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective movement of materials from suppliers to sites.

The role requires strong knowledge of freight, customs clearance and ERP systems (SAP), with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement in logistics performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and supply chain, ideally within Oil & Gas, large CAPEX projects or onshore operations.
• Strong knowledge of international freight, customs clearance and transportation management.
• Experience in materials management, warehousing and supplier management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• University degree preferred; CIPS qualification or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end inbound logistics, including freight, transportation, customs clearance and importation.
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and local partners to ensure supply chain continuity.
• Manage logistics providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Identify supply chain risks and drive improvements in logistics performance, costs and lead times.
• Ensure compliance with relevant country regulations, trade requirements and HSE standards.
• Support the development of logistics infrastructure, processes and systems.
