Job summary

Worley in London is seeking a Lead Materials & Corrosion Engineer to supervise the Materials and Corrosion Engineering and Design team on complex projects. You will lead design input, specifications, FEED and procurement support to meet client requirements.

The role requires 15+ years in Materials/Corrosion in oil & gas or chemical sectors, with Chartered Engineer status preferred. Expect active leadership, strong communication, and delivery of high-quality technical work within schedule and

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgy (preferably Chartered Engineer).
15+ years of proven Materials and Corrosion engineering and design experience in Oil & Gas, chemical/petrochemical markets.
Good understanding of requirements of other departments and interfaces in engineering.
Knowledge of applicable international codes and standards and major Company/Operator standards.
Experience with Project controls, Scheduling and progressing.
Experience in FEED, Detail Engineering projects and procurement support.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the Materials and Corrosion Engineering and Design team on projects.
Ensure discipline quality management system and contract requirements are met.
Provide leadership to large teams across multiple offices.
Deliver materials specifications, reports/studies, corrosion assessments, and material selection diagrams.
Monitor cost, schedule, material quantities, quality and budget control.
Communicate project status and manage change notices with the client.
