Job summary

Admiral Group in Cardiff seeks a Senior Engineering Manager - MarTech to lead our Adobe and Smartcomms platforms that personalise customer journeys and digital communications across the UK. You will guide Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, shape strategy and roadmaps for AEP, AEM, EDS and Smartcomms, and ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with business outcomes.

You'll partner with Product, Marketing, Data and Architecture to drive continuous improvement, governance and DevSecOps,

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading engineering across multiple teams or tech platforms.
• Strong understanding of MarTech, digital experiences and customer personalisation.
• Proven delivery of complex technology projects balancing outcomes, quality, risk and cost.
• Strong operational leadership owning reliable, secure services.
• Excellent stakeholder management across technical, business and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across the Adobe and Smartcomms platform portfolio, aligning priorities to outcomes.
• Coach and develop Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, building capability.
• Shape strategy and roadmaps for AEP, AEM, EDS and Smartcomms.
• Support delivery of customer personalisation and multichannel communications.
• Ensure platforms are secure, resilient, scalable and well governed.
• Maintain engineering, architecture, testing and release standards with security teams.
• Manage strategic suppliers and technology partners.
• Oversee budgets, capacity forecasting and portfolio investment decisions.
• Provide updates to senior stakeholders on health, risks and outcomes.
• Drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, platform engineering and GenAI initiatives.
