Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Market Development Manager for the UK & Ireland to drive adoption of Aurora EV-ICD™, OmniaSecure™, and CSP therapies. The role collaborates with Commercial Managers, Territory Managers, Clinical Specialists and Marketing to shape market access and patient pathways.

  • Proven track record in market development, strategic account management or commercial healthcare roles.
  • Strong understanding of Cardiac Rhythm Management, electrophysiology or cardiovascular care.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience supporting tenders, contracts or strategic sales initiatives.

  • Drive the adoption and market growth of Aurora EV-ICD™, OmniaSecure™ and CSP therapies across the UK & Ireland.
  • Identify barriers to therapy adoption and implement initiatives that accelerate uptake and improve patient access.
  • Analyse and optimise referral pathways for patients eligible for defibrillation and physiologic pacing therapies.
  • Collaborate with NHS stakeholders, Trust leadership and Integrated Care Systems to support service development and pathway transformation.
  • Support national and regional tenders, commercial agreements and value-based healthcare proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical and administrative stakeholders across the healthcare system.
  • Support physician education programmes, workshops, proctorships and peer-to-peer learning initiatives.

Aurora EV-ICD™, OmniaSecure™ and Conduction System Pacing (CSP) represent key growth platforms within our UK & Ireland business and have the potential to transform patient pathways and standards of care. As the Senior Market Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and growth of these innovative therapies across the UK & Ireland. Working closely with Commercial Managers, Territory Managers, Clinical Specialists and the Marketing team, you will develop and execute market development strategies that improve patient access, support healthcare system transformation and deliver sustainable business growth. This is a highly visible role requiring strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. The position will involve regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland to engage with customers, healthcare organisations and Medtronic teams.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive the adoption and market growth of Aurora EV-ICD™, OmniaSecure™ and CSP therapies across the UK & Ireland.
  • Identify barriers to therapy adoption and implement initiatives that accelerate uptake and improve patient access.
  • Analyse and optimise referral pathways for patients eligible for defibrillation and physiologic pacing therapies.
  • Collaborate with NHS stakeholders, Trust leadership and Integrated Care Systems to support service development and pathway transformation.
  • Support national and regional tenders, commercial agreements and value-based healthcare proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical and administrative stakeholders across the healthcare system.
  • Support physician education programmes, workshops, proctorships and peer-to-peer learning initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Clinical, Marketing and Market Access teams to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven track record in market development, strategic account management or commercial healthcare roles
  • Strong understanding of Cardiac Rhythm Management, electrophysiology or cardiovascular care
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Commercial acumen, including experience supporting tenders, contracts or strategic sales initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively across complex stakeholder environments and drive change through collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with NHS procurement, commissioning or NHS Supply Chain processes
  • Understanding of Value-Based Healthcare principles
  • Experience in healthcare pathway redesign, service development or project leadership
