Job summary

Haskoning seeks a senior structural/civil marine engineer to lead design and analysis for ports and shipyards worldwide. You will manage projects, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality maritime structures.

The role requires strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with occasional travel in the UK and abroad, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Experience designing maritime civil structures for ports/shipyards.
• Experience with shipyard infrastructure projects (quays, docks, ship lifts).
• Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas.
• Ability to lead projects and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and analysis for maritime structures for ports/shipyards.
• Carry out inspections and surveys.
• Produce design calculations and review others’ calculations.
• Check and review models and drawings before issue.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, Contract Documents, and Specifications.
• Undertake structural analyses and reporting.
