Job summary

Haskoning in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior structural/civil marine engineer to lead design and analysis for ports and shipyards, delivering projects locally and internationally with leading maritime professionals.

You will act as Project Manager for small/medium projects or Technical Manager on large projects, mentoring junior staff and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve high standards.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Civil/Structural Engineering (BSc/BEng/MSc, CEngMiStructE).
• Experience planning and designing maritime structures.
• Familiar with international maritime and structural engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and analysis for maritime and associated structures for ports and shipyards.
• Carry out inspections and surveys.
• Produce design calculations and check calculations from others.
• Check and review models and drawings before issue.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, Contract Documents, and Specifications.
• Undertake structural analyses and reporting.
