Job summary

AECOM’s Ports and Maritime team is seeking a Senior Maritime Engineer with a civil and structural background to play a key technical role across multiple UK and international projects.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with flexible hybrid working arrangements. You’ll join an established team delivering world-class maritime and coastal infrastructure, contributing to design, calculations, tendering and supervision of projects across varying scales.

Qualifications

• MEng or BEng in civil or structural engineering.
• Be able to obtain SC security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designing structures in the Marine Environment (quay walls, piers, jetties, revetments, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins).
• Plan, prepare and deliver project deliverables successfully.
• Present calculations to a high standard using ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS and PLAXIS 3D.
• Review design drawings and specifications for timely and accurate results.
• Mentor staff to develop technical solutions and experience.
• Assist in tender preparation (programme, cost estimates, resourcing, quality input).
• Experience in construction supervision of maritime structures.
• Apply British Standards and Eurocodes in design.
• Deliver projects across a range of cost and complexity.
