Job summary

AECOM’s Ports and Maritime team is seeking a Maritime Engineer with a civil and structural background to play a key technical role across multiple UK and international projects.

You’ll lead or support the design and analysis of marine infrastructure including quay walls, jetties, revetments and breakwaters, from concept through construction support, ensuring safe, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong civil/structural design background, with marine or coastal experience.
• Familiarity with British Standards, Eurocodes, and maritime guidance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design and analysis of maritime and coastal structures using BS, Eurocodes, PIANC, CIRIA, ICE guidance.
• Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed designs for quay walls, jetties, revetments, breakwaters, and related works.
• Conduct stability and durability assessments under wave and current effects.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and compliance.
