Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project in Kent. You will lead the project commercial team and shape commercial performance across the contract.

You will manage cost reporting, forecasting, change control and procurement, mentor junior surveyors, and work closely with the project leadership to deliver value and mitigate risk. This is a senior, on-site role offering significant influence on strategy and delivery.

Qualifications

• NEC experience is required.
• Experience leading commercial teams on large projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual requirements.
• Proven track record in cost reporting, risk and opportunity management.
• Experience with subcontract procurement and negotiations.
• Ability to operate at project and strategic levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project commercial team.
• Oversee the commercial performance of the Kent project.
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs.
• Review commercial risks and opportunities.
• Lead subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Manage change, variations and compensation events.
• Ensure cost control and commercial governance.
• Support project strategy and delivery from a commercial perspective.
• Manage client and subcontractor relationships.
• Review and challenge commercial performance across the project.
• Mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors.
