Job summary

Capital One Group is seeking a Payment Network Compliance Senior Manager to lead risk management for its network and merchant businesses. You will provide expert compliance advice, develop process understandings, and ensure regulatory alignment with the company’s risk framework.

Hybrid work model with London/Nottingham offices. The role demands strong leadership, collaboration with Legal, Audit and Risk teams, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while staying ahead of evolving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
• Significant experience in legal, compliance, or risk management OR relevant regulatory experience in consumer financial services or payments industry.
• An advanced degree, including Doctorate or Master’s degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and effective challenge on compliance risks impacting the network and merchant businesses.
• Develop expert understanding of network and merchant business processes.
• Analyse business processes and determine applicability of laws and regulations based on Capital One’s global legal inventory.
• Proactively identify trends in business data and external risks in payments compliance.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in the broader payments industry and applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with first and second line functions to analyse the risk management framework and educate senior leaders.
• Ensure compliance in expansions and new products and with new downstream entities.
• Develop strong relationships with Business Risk, Legal, and Audit to support integration.
