As GSK enhances its data utilization to improve patient outcomes, we offer an exciting opportunity to lead Procurement in this area. We seek a team member for R&D Procurement to maximize investments in data acquisitions and subscriptions, developing new strategies in collaboration with various stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories with a global/regional and strategic focus, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies.
  • Develop sophisticated procurement strategies aligned with business needs, supported by strong business and financial analysis skills.
  • Lead contract planning, negotiations, execution, and management, overseeing negotiations across spend categories.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce non-value-added work, including appropriate buying channels.

    • Achieve benefits outlined in category strategies through effective execution, focusing on supply assurance, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
    • Maintain a pipeline of savings, risk mitigation, and ESG initiatives over multiple years.
  • Business partnering & stakeholder management:
    • Influence stakeholders and partners to support strategy development, endorse strategies, and support benefit realization and budgeting.
    • Communicate effectively with senior finance managers.
  • External supplier relationships:
    • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring value is driven and considerations like global/regional factors and dependencies are managed.
  • Influencing:
    • Implement partnership approaches within category management across regions for a cohesive strategy.
    • Ensure clear communication strategies within procurement and business networks.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Data Science, or Science.
    • 6+ years of procurement experience, preferably in Pharmaceuticals, with at least 2 years in data acquisitions.
    • Proven ability in category management, strategy development, stakeholder and supplier management.
    • Expertise in external environment, suppliers, and performance benchmarks.
    • Excellent communication, influencing skills, and project leadership.
