Job Description

Due to an expanding portfolio, our Industrial, Sciences and Technology team in London is looking to appoint Senior Project Managers to join our Data Centre team.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will support large-scale, ground-up data centre construction projects with our prominent technology clients across Europe. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.

Key Accountabilities

• Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on approaches to successfully achieve the client’s objectives;
• Leading the establishment of success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters;
• Planning and managing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues;
• Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems;
• Project planning, including detailed project plan production;
• Advising on resource procurement;
• Leading and facilitating the cross-functional project team;
• Monitoring performance using KPIs to improve project outcomes;
• Managing change control processes;
• Monitoring and advising on project finances;
• Managing project information flow between the team and client;
• Producing formal project progress reports;
• Interfacing with clients and consultants throughout all project stages.

Internal Management Accountabilities

• Staff management (where appropriate)
• Knowledge management: inputting key project learnings into the internal database;
• Financial management: ensuring prompt invoicing and monitoring financial status;
• Process improvement: enhancing internal systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction consultancy preferred
• 5-10 years of project management experience, ideally within digital/data centres
• Professional qualifications in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture
• Chartered status or on the path to achieving it
• Understanding of the project life cycle from conception to post-project review
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
• Experience in design, management, or construction in various environments
• Excellent communication skills
