JOB PURPOSE

This role involves supporting strategic projects and daily activities across Indirect Categories, collaborating with stakeholders in Leeds and London. The main focus is to identify and execute savings opportunities across various indirect categories, partnering with the business to achieve project and cost-saving targets.

The Commercial Procurement team leads procurement strategy across various Indirect categories to deliver optimal commercial outcomes and impact Burberry’s P&L. This global team works across central corporate functions and local regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Manage categories for Indirect goods and services, supporting various business functions
  • Potentially provide line management and development support for Category Managers and Sourcing Specialists
  • Achieve commercial savings and maximize value from key strategic suppliers
  • Manage stakeholder relationships (Business Partnering)
  • Participate in the Procurement Leadership Team
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Coordinate with Legal and Info-Sec to ensure quality contracts with credible suppliers
  • Report regularly on savings, projects, and supplier performance
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects supporting Burberry’s growth with procurement expertise
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Extensive operational and commercial experience in indirect procurement
  • Strong skills in stakeholder and supplier relationship management
  • Highly commercial, numerate, and results-oriented
  • Capable of working effectively in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Problem-solving and collaborative skills
  • Proficient in Excel, analytics, and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity
