Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a Christchurch-based multi-site organisation to recruit a commercially focused Management Accountant. The role blends business partnering with technical accounting, group reporting and project work, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or experienced qualified-by-experience finance professional with strong technical and commercial background
• Experience in management accounting, forecasting, budgeting and month-end reporting in a complex organisation
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyse large data sets and produce reporting
• Clear, credible communication to partner with senior operational stakeholders
• Experience in a multi-site environment would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Partner with operating sites to manage budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting
• Analyse revenue, costs and profitability; highlight risks and opportunities
• Develop management reporting using systems to improve decision-making
• Lead finance projects covering systems, reporting processes and improvements
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and CAPEX reporting; monitor budgets
• Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
• Oversee tax compliance activities
• Support cash management, treasury, cash forecasting and banking controls
• Identify risks and implement controls to monitor effectiveness
