Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is recruiting a Management Accountant to join a small central finance team. The role is based on-site during probation with hybrid options after 6 months, reporting to a Director and supported by an external accountant.

The successful candidate will manage monthly management accounts across multiple entities, deliver KPI packs by site/brand, and drive improvements in data flow from POS to the ledger while maintaining audit-ready files.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounts across multiple entities.
• Qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or part-qualified with strong experience.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with POS data and ERP or consolidation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) across multiple entities.
• Produce site/brand-level P&L packs with variance analysis vs budget/forecast/last year.
• Own weekly and monthly KPI reporting (sales mix, labour %, food cost %, EBITDA by site).
• Monitor cash, working capital, and weekly cash forecasting; manage supplier terms and VAT/PAYE.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting support.
• Assist budgeting and rolling forecasts for sales, labour, food, overheads, and capex.
• Track royalties, marketing levies, and franchise fees by brand.
• Ensure month-end processes run smoothly with external accountant/auditors.
• Improve data flow from POS to ledger and automate reporting.

Job description

Our client is a multi-site, multi-brand hospitality and foodservice group, including franchised operations, entering a pivotal phase of its growth. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join a small central finance team, reporting to a Director and supported by an external accountant.

The role is based on-site during the probation period, but is open to hybrid work after an initial 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, across multiple entities
• Produce site and brand-level P&L packs with variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
• Own weekly and monthly KPI reporting, including sales mix, labour %, food cost % and EBITDA by site
• Monitor cash and working capital, including weekly cash forecasting, settlements, supplier terms, VAT and PAYE
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, debtor/creditor reviews and intercompany accounting
• Support budgeting and rolling forecasts across sales, labour, food, overheads and capex
• Track royalty, marketing levy and franchise fee obligations by brand
• Maintain month-end processes and work with the external accountant and auditors to keep files audit-ready
• Improve the flow of data from POS to the ledger and automate routine reporting

Key Skills

• Multi-site hospitality experience is essential; experience in a multi-brand or franchised environment is a strong advantage
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or part-qualified with strong experience
• Proven month-end, reconciliation and management reporting experience
• Strong Excel skills, with experience of POS data and ERP or consolidation tools
• Able to turn numbers into clear actions for site and operations teams
• Hands-on and organised, comfortable working with a Director and an external accountant
