Sheridan Maine is proud to be working on behalf of our client, a growing financial services organisation, to find a highly skilled and motivated Senior Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to take ownership and responsibility for an entity within the group, overseeing and reporting on its financial activity.
Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant will include:
- Prepare management accounts, ensuring UK regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring accurate accounting treatment, identifying variances, and directing necessary adjustments.
- Maintain and post monthly accruals, including provisions for upcoming costs.
- Oversee month-end activities and postings by the Finance Assistant, including bank reconciliations.
- Provide financial highlights and commentary to the Head of Accounting.
- Prepare statutory annual accounts post year-end.
- Support the Head of Accounting during interim and year-end external audits.
- Review financials prepared for quarterly Board Meetings.
- Lead and supervise all monthly and ad hoc finance-related activities.
- Compile tax data for annual tax return.

The successful Senior Management Accountant will require the following:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proven experience working in a similar role within a commercial environment.
- Previous experience of working within the financial services sector.
- Advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookups and pivot tables.
