Position: Management Accountant

Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Reporting to: Finance Director

Contract Type: Full-Time

Hours: Flexible start and finish - Core Hours - Monday to Friday

My client who are a B2B media company are seeking a Management Accountant to support the financial operations of our dynamic business. This role is perfect for a part/qualified accountant or a candidate with experience looking to expand their expertise in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounting:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances and trends.
• Assist the Finance Director in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing annual budgets.
• Develop financial models to aid strategic decision-making.
• Conduct cost analyses, identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.

Financial Operations and Controls:

• Oversee accurate sales and purchase ledger operations.
• Manage payroll preparation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial processes to maintain robust controls.
• Monitor cash flow and advise on liquidity management.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Collaborate with teams across the business to provide financial insights.
• Help develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Offer guidance and training to junior finance team members.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in management accounting or a similar role.
• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is welcome.
• Proficiency in financial system - Netsuite.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to multitask effectively.
• A team player with a collaborative and positive approach.
