Job summary

Wade Macdonald is assisting a UK-listed technology group in South Oxfordshire to hire an Interim Group Financial Controller. The role oversees year-end reporting, consolidation, and external audits, with IFRS compliance and strong leadership of the finance team.

Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years of group reporting experience in small-cap UK-listed firms, and possess excellent Excel and communication skills to drive reporting accuracy and governance.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least five years' group reporting experience in small cap UK-listed companies.
• Extensive IFRS knowledge, consolidation experience, and year-end audit/annual report exposure.
• Strong communication, technical skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group's year-end consolidation and timely reporting.
• Manage external audit with auditors, stakeholders and Audit Committee.
• Oversee consolidation of financial statements and the annual report.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and UK-listed regulatory reporting obligations.
• Review complex accounting matters (revenue recognition, impairment, acquisitions).
• Support cash flow forecasts, tax provisions and covenant reporting.
• Coordinate subsidiary accounts and contribute to financial announcements.
• Coach and develop the finance team; improve year-end processes.
