Job summary

Wade Macdonald is recruiting a Part Qualified Management Accountant for their finance team. The role reports to the FP&A Manager and covers management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and business partnering to support operational decision making.

You will contribute to financial controls, assist with month-end close and group reporting for UK and US entities, while developing technical accounting knowledge in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA; finalists or qualified by experience considered.
• Strong Excel skills and balance sheet reconciliations experience are essential.
• Attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly management accounts preparation and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records including depreciation and movements.
• Manage intercompany accounting and resolve reconciliation differences.
• Review overhead expenditure and investigate variances against budgets.
• Produce financial analysis and cost centre reports for operational stakeholders.
• Support monthly Group reporting, including submissions to US parent.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Maintain lease accounting schedules and support statutory reporting obligations.
• Provide financial information for audits, internally and externally.
• Assist with VAT, corporation tax and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve processes.
