Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Finance Analyst to support Finance Business Partners with financial reporting and analysis. Qualifications

• NVQ level 4 in accounting (AAT) or equivalent.
• 5 GCSEs grade A-C including maths and English.
• Extensive experience of providing accounting services.

Responsibilities

• Produce and report on financial information, assisting Finance Business Partners.
• Complete variance analysis with reasons for deviations from agreed budgets.
• Gather data and journal income and expenditure to the correct cost centres on the general ledger.
• Monitor performance against budgets, investigate variances and advise on remedial action.
• Provide budgetary control information within tight departmental timescales.
• Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments to a tight timetable for board reports.
• Deputise for the Finance Business Partner at departmental review meetings, providing supporting information.
• Provide financial information, support and advice to senior managers, budget holders, clinical directors and operational directorates.
• Respond to queries from budget managers and the directorate in a timely, high-quality manner.
• Assist the Finance Business Partner with the annual budget setting process.
• Provide financial analysis and support to the Finance Management team.
