South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance Team at Crawley HQ. The role provides specialist financial support to Operations Managers and clinicians, driving cost effectiveness and robust financial management.

You will prepare management accounting information, support budget holders, and work with Finance Business Partners to ensure timely reporting and adherence to accounting standards.

Qualifications

• CCAB/CIMA part qualified, minimum certificate level or AAT qualified or educated to degree level in a relevant specialism
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Knowledge and experience of accounting, financial management, business partnering, services / service line management, forecasting, costing, pricing, analysing, preparing working papers, reporting and adherence to accounting standards

Responsabilités

• Ensure the provision of an accurate and timely finance and management accounting information service to senior Finance managers.
• Provide a finance information service to budget holders and maintenance of the Trust’s budgetary systems.
• Assist the Finance Business Associates in providing financial support to the senior Finance team and budget holders to achieve financial control and effective budget management and to facilitate the delivery of the Trust’s financial targets.
• Maintain accurate working papers and backing for monthly results and discuss forecasting with Budget Holder.
• Prepare clear journals and workings, identify accruals and prepayments, and adjust via journals in the ledger.
• Support CIP realignment costed and budget virements through costing.
• Provide information for annual statutory reporting in compliance with timetable and accounting standards.
