Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a finance professional to support the Finance Business Partners with data gathering, budgeting, and reporting for multiple directorates. You will contribute to variance analysis, journal posting, and timely month-end processes to ensure accurate board reports.

You will also assist in budget setting and provide financial advice across management levels, maintaining high standards of service to budget holders and the directorate.

Responsibilities

• Gather and produce data for inputting on the general ledger, ensuring income and expenditure are shown by cost centres via journaling.
• Monitor budgets, investigate variances and advise remedial action where necessary.
• Provide budgetary control information within tight departmental timescales.
• Deputise for Finance Business Partner at departmental reviews and provide supporting information; advise management levels.
• Ensure monthly adjustments (accruals/prepayments) are done to meet reporting timetable for board reports.
• Provide high quality service to budget managers with timely responses to queries.
• Provide high quality service to the directorate with timely query responses.
• Assist the Finance Business Partner in the annual budget setting process.
