Sharp Consultancy is pleased to be partnering with a growing UK business to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. You will take ownership of the management accounting function and work directly with the Finance Director to support growth and commercial decision-making.
You'll lead month-end, produce P&L and cash-flow reporting, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and control frameworks while guiding a wider finance team.

You'll have the opportunity to understand the business, challenge performance, improve processes and work closely with the Finance Director across a range of financial and commercial priorities.
Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the management accounting function and play an important role in providing the financial information and insight needed to support continued growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of the monthly management accounts and month-end close
Producing P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting
Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow forecasting
Providing analysis and commentary around performance, variances and trends
Supporting working capital management and wider financial planning
Maintaining strong financial controls and reconciliations
Supporting year-end, audit and VAT requirements
Overseeing monthly payroll processes
Working closely with operational teams to understand financial performance
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting
Supporting the Finance Director with wider projects and business improvement initiatives
Providing day-to-day guidance and support to members of the wider finance team
You'll ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with solid experience across management accounts, month-end, budgeting and forecasting.
You'll be technically strong, commercially curious and confident communicating with people outside of finance.
