Job summary

Sharp Consultancy partners with a well-established family-run business in Keighley to recruit a Management Accountant. The role is broad, hands-on, and reports directly into the Finance Director, with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function and providing accurate financial and commercial information to support the wider business.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, management accounts experience in a fast-paced SME, and excellent analytical and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience in management accounts for a fast-paced SME.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships across the business.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce full management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, month-end and management commentary.
• Produce Budget vs actuals, forecasting, KPIs, pricing and cost analysis.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, stock and ledger controls.
• Ownership of rolling 13-week cash flow forecasting and supporting wider treasury activities.
• Support the FD with annual budgets, reforecasts and financial modelling.
• Business partnering with operational managers and providing financial insight to support decision-making.
• Support the wider finance team across sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll, with potential to take on management responsibility as the team develops.
• Opportunity to deputise for the Finance Director when required.

We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established family-run business in Keighley to recruit a Management Accountant.

It's a broad, hands-on role reporting directly into the Finance Director, with responsibility for managing the day-to-day finance function and providing accurate financial and commercial information to support the wider business. The role will offer exposure to management accounts, cash flow, treasury, stock, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs and commercial analysis, reporting directly to the FD.

Key responsibilities will include;
