Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• AAT, or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or studying toward a professional qualification.
• Strong progress-driven attitude and desire to develop technically.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts preparation.
• Assist with month-end journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to the finance team.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records.

The successful candidate will receive full study support and will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as their experience develops.

The Role

Reporting into the senior finance team, the Assistant Management Accountant will support with a range of month-end and management accounting duties, including:

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assisting with analysis of financial and management information
• Maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate financial information is maintained
• Continuously looking for opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience within a finance or accounting environment and be keen to progress their career within management accounting.

You may be AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or actively working towards a professional qualification, although candidates with strong relevant experience and a genuine desire to progress will also be considered.
