Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is assisting a well-established business in West Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. You will take ownership of monthly management accounts, perform month-end close, and provide commercial financial insight to senior stakeholders.

You'll partner with non-finance teams, support budgeting and forecasting, and look for process improvements. The role offers flexible working and a supportive finance function in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Providing commercial analysis and insight to operational teams
• Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Supporting cash flow and working capital management
• Assisting with financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting
• Supporting the Financial Controller with wider finance projects

Job description

We are currently working with a well-established and growing business in West Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts and play a key role in partnering with senior stakeholders providing meaningful financial insight.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys more than just producing the numbers and wants to work closely with the wider business.
