Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Brighton is seeking an enthusiastic Mammographer to join The Park Centre for Breast Care. This is a full-time, permanent Band 7 post, contributing to high-quality breast imaging and patient care within a specialist service.

The role welcomes UK-qualified radiographers, with a pathway from Band 5 Trainee Mammographer to Band 7, including progression after postgraduate qualifications.

Qualifications

• HPC registration
• BSc Radiography
• UK Mammography certificate with 2 years’ experience
• State Registered Radiographer willing to work towards Post grad Certificate of Competence
• UK Post Graduate Certificate of Competence in Mammography

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality imaging across mobile and static sites in line with NHS Breast Screening Programme standards.
• Provide imaging and patient care within the Symptomatic Breast Service across Brighton and East Sussex.
• Work with radiologists and Advanced Practitioners during interventional procedures, ensuring comfort, dignity and safety.
• Lead by example as a senior mammographer and support colleagues’ development and improvements in quality and patient experience.
