Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279) is recruiting a Mammographer for the Park Centre for Breast Care in Brighton. This full-time, permanent Band 7 post delivers high-quality breast imaging and patient care within a specialist service.

We welcome UK-qualified radiographers for training, with progression pathways to Band 7 after specialist training; Band 5 Trainee Mammographer and Band 6 progression are described.

Qualifications

• HPC registration is required for practice.
• BSc Radiography with UK Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography is essential.
• UK Mammography certificate with 2 years' experience is preferred.
• State Registered Radiographer willing to train toward the postgraduate certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality imaging across mobile and static sites in line with NHSBSP standards.
• Position, image and support patients during interventional procedures with radiologists.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with clear, sensitive communication.
• Lead by example as a senior mammographer and support colleagues' development.

Education

BSc Radiography with UK Post Graduate Certificate of Competence in Mammography

UK Mammography certificate with 2 years' experience

HPC registration

State Registered Radiographer willing to work towards Post grad Certificate of Competence
