Job summary

Trinity Claims is seeking an experienced Domestic Major Loss Adjuster or Surveyor to manage complex household claims over £100,000. You will own the end-to-end process—from initial assessment to final settlement—covering buildings, contents and alternative accommodation, with a calm, empathetic customer approach.

You’ll conduct site visits, verify estimates, determine liability, and lead contractors and experts to a fair resolution. Travel to policyholders’ homes may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in household property claims handling or loss adjusting.
• 5+ years' experience including complex or high-value claims.
• Formal industry qualification with Chartered status or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of major and complex household claims £100,000+ from notification to settlement.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess damage and reinstatement scope.
• Determine liability, coverage and indemnity with policy wordings and evidence.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, loss assessors and representatives.
• Coordinate alternative accommodation and maintain reserves and incurred values.
