Job summary

British Steel in Scunthorpe, UK, is seeking a Lead Engineering Planner to lead the planning and coordination of maintenance across rotating equipment and workshop assets. You will manage maintenance plans in SAP, prioritise work, and ensure safe, reliable operation in line with business needs.

You will drive continuous improvement, develop maintenance strategies, monitor KPIs, and work with engineers, plant managers and operations teams to deliver efficient maintenance across HRS activities.

Qualifications

• Maintenance planning experience in heavy industry.
• Experience with SAP maintenance modules.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lead engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain maintenance plans for assets.
• Allocate P1 and P2 work activities and manage priorities.
• Oversee contractor activities and compliance programmes.
