Job summary

C2 Recruitment Ltd seeks a Senior Work Coordinator in Basildon to oversee planned and reactive maintenance for a busy contract. You’ll coordinate engineers, client instructions and schedules, ensuring all works are completed on time and within scope.

You will drive proactive planning, maintain accurate records for reporting and invoicing, and keep clients informed of progress and any access needs. A strong organiser with rail/mechanical services exposure will fit well.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in maintenance coordination, facilities or related operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent client communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming client instructions, purchase orders and reactive calls.
• Create and manage jobs through internal systems and client portals.
• Plan and schedule engineers and field teams.
• Monitor daily/weekly PPM schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Oversee reactive jobs from call-out to completion.
• Coordinate small projects including labour, materials and subcontractors.
• Review engineer reports and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Keep clients updated on progress, delays and access requirements.
