Job summary
Staffbase Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance across a large-scale heavy industrial site near Selby. You will lead a small maintenance team, coordinate external contractors and drive reliability and safety in daily plant operations.
The role requires strong electrical and mechanical expertise, with a hands-on leadership style and a track record of improving maintenance performance in heavy industry or manufacturing settings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years maintenance management or supervisory experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills.
- Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial processing.
- Proven experience leading maintenance engineers and external contractors.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system.
- Manage and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Lead and support a small team of maintenance engineers.
- Manage external contractors and engineering service providers.
- Plan, manage and control maintenance activities and engineering projects.
- Support commissioning and CAPEX projects.
- Monitor, source and order spare parts and replacement components.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and safety compliance.
