We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Electrician with HV/LV AP qualifications to join our estates team based at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Activities:

• Reporting to the Technical Services Manager
• Act as a lead technician for the site, providing a thorough understanding of electrical building services installation and maintenance techniques
• Apply trade skills and experience, including one-to-one training to team members
• Ensure the satisfactory completion of statutory obligations and maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, new and refurbishment works, all within SLA and KPIs
• Take on AP/RP roles where appropriate skills are held or training is provided
• Carry out testing and inspection to City & Guilds standards

Skills & Qualifications:

• Recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience
• HV & LV AP qualified
• Experience in building services and knowledge of air handling plant and water hygiene
• Experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of medical gases is advantageous
• Willingness to attain cross skilling
• Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills
• Good planning, organising, and prioritising skills
• Ability to use initiative and judgement to resolve problems
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety procedures; formal training is an advantage
