Seaworthy Consulting is looking for a Senior Services Engineer to join a workboat fleet. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a Marine/Heavy Diesel Senior level position within the maritime sector. This is a permanent, shore-based role working around the UK. The candidate will not be expected to sail daily but will oversee maintenance when vessels are alongside, during day or evening shifts, up to 11 hours per day, including night shifts.

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Services Engineer. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, providing field service, offering technical support, and performing maintenance and repairs on marine systems. Effective communication with clients and team members to ensure efficient service delivery is essential. Knowledge of hydraulics, interpreting vessel manuals/drawings, and 24V/240V electrical systems is mandatory. A flexible attitude towards work and good teamwork skills are also required.

You must have:

• NVQ or equivalent in Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
• Right to work in the UK
• Full clean UK driver’s license

Preferred qualifications (training can be provided in-house):

• COSHH Awareness Training
• Abrasive Wheels
• Hand arm vibration
• Safe use of Ladders/working at height
• Basic Electrical Safety Awareness
• Awareness of confined spaces

Salary: around £45K depending on experience, plus a non-taxable monthly subsistence payment of £228.75.

Location: Travel around the UK is required. The company provides a van, tools, PPE, and accommodation.
