Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates Ltd is seeking a Machine Tool Design Engineer to join our precision engineering team. You will design and develop high-value machinery, from concept through to build and commissioning, across bespoke projects worldwide.

You will work on machine tools, SP M and automated systems, create CAD models, manage BOMs in SAP, and contribute to DFMEA/PFMEA reviews with manufacturing and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years design experience in machine tool design, SP M, or bespoke automated machines.
• Strong background in mechanism and machine design.
• Experience with moving assemblies and complex systems.
• Ability to work across the full machine lifecycle.
• 3D CAD experience (Siemens NX) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing new machine systems, mechanisms, and components
• Modifying and improving existing machine designs to meet customer requirements
• Working on machine tool design, tooling, and automated systems
• Supporting manufacturing and assembly during machine build and commissioning
• Producing detailed CAD models and engineering drawings
• Managing BOMs and part releases via SAP
• Conducting design reviews, DFMEA and PFMEA
• Supporting technical bids and customer-facing documentation
