Take projects from concept through design, validation, manufacture and implementation within six-month development cycles, working closely with customers, manufacturing and R&D to balance creativity with engineering rigour.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in mechanical product development.
• Experience designing precision mechanisms.
• Strong 3D CAD capability.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and materials.
• Excellent practical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke mechanical solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Modify and develop existing high-precision products for new applications.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to implementation.
• Create innovative design concepts and evaluate multiple approaches.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and FEA where required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure producible designs.
• Support testing, validation, and product introduction activities.
• Lead technical reviews and contribute to engineering best practice.
• Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and performance expectations.
